Polysilicon prices have stabilised but remain low, with average n-type prices dropping further, according to the latest industry data.

The China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association's latest round of polysilicon and wafer prices continue to fall down.

The transaction price of n-type silicon rod has fallen to 58-60 RMB/kg (US$8.01-8.29/kg) and the average price is down 3.30% month-on-month.

Price of polysilicon decreased this week both for p-type and n-type materials with the former dropping below the historic low of US$6.75/kg reached in June 2020.

The pricing dynamics within the photovoltaic industry chain are witnessing a split, with noticeable drops in polysilicon and wafer prices.

In the first week of 2024, a number of Chinese PV companies published their first quotes of the year for PV products.

On 6 December, the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association released the latest transaction prices for solar-grade polysilicon.

The China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association announced that the average transaction price of M10 mono-silicon wafer has dropped by 6.96%.

The average price of solar-grade polysilicon has dropped from the peak of RMB240,000-250,000/tonne (US$32,856-34,191) at the beginning of the year to RMB70,000-90,000/tonne.

The Silicon Industry Branch of CNMIA published the latest solar-grade polysilicon prices on 23 August, which were on an upward trend.
